Awaken your Senses

The Somatic Culinary Experience

The Bodysoul Connection

The adage goes “you are what you eat” and we know our bodies are made up of physical matter, that is, cells and tissues. These require energy to survive, so we eat food to maintain our physical state. As we have evolved, so has the context of food and nutrition in our lives.

Most recently, Neurogastronomy tells us how the brain processes sensory information relating to flavor, for example, what areas of the brain light up. While Gastrophysics is focused on understanding and measuring the factors that influence a good or bad dining experience such as what factors are important to the multi-sensory experience while tasting food & drink”.

For many of us, Man is more than just a physical being. We are soul beings, which means we are consciousness embodied (for a limited period) on the physical plain.

Somatic eating experiences focus our inner attention to eating as something that connects us on very deep level to eating every day. This creates awareness of nourishment and food source as an intricate part of wellbeing – and is basic to our 360 approach. An important part of our journeys shows the way to the inner connection to our energy source, experienced in unique ways – showing us the relationship to clean food source filled with nutrient-richness, the source of life

Star Gazing

Finding your place in the vast cosmos

Since time eternal, human beings have gazed at the heavens; have been awed by its beauty and wondered about its deep mysteries. Ancient civilizations interpreted the movements of our closest celestial bodies, and modern scientists study the inter-connected of our solar system and the galaxies beyond our own Milky Way.

Star Gazing for Mindfulness is where looking up, can help an individual find their own inner universe – and connect them to wonder. While viewing the night sky can be also done through a telescope, the experience of letting go and allowing the wonderment of our most vast outer world settle in can have a calming and reassuring effect that is helps us feel part of a greater whole – and ultimately gain a renewed appreciation for our own place on earth, and part of interplanetary system. Allow yourself to be “star-strucked” in new and unexpected ways.

Labyrinth Walk

A Spiritual Experience in a Material World

Labyrinth walking is an ancient practice used by many different wisdom traditions and faiths for spiritual centering, contemplation, and prayer.

A labyrinth is not a maze. It has only one path to the center and back out, which is called unicursal (one line). It has no blind alleys or dead ends as mazes have. The path twists and turns back on itself many times before reaching the center. Once at the center, there is only one way back out. Entering the path of a labyrinth, you walk slowly while quieting your mind and focusing on a spiritual question or prayer.

The path twists and turns back on itself many times before reaching the center. Once at the center, there is only one way back out. The labyrinth symbolizes a journey to a predetermined destination, or the journey through life from birth to spiritual awakening to death – opening up to what emerges through the experience is the essence of the experience itself.
